Jewellery Care
Silver and brass items are finished with high polish and will be shiny when you receive them. However, with time the metal can tarnish due to the acidity in your body and natural exposure to oxygen. Tarnish is actually very normal, and can still happen even with proper jewelry care.
HERE ARE SOME HELPFUL TIPS TO HELP CARE FOR YOUR JEWELLERY
- Putting your jewellery on after you have applied any products to your skin, such as make-up, perfumes, and lotions.
- Take off your items when you exercise, swim, shower, etc. Physical activity is an easy way to damage or break a piece, and often there are minerals in the water which can naturally change the colour of your piece.
- When you’re not wearing it, store your pieces in an airtight jewelry box or bag.
- You can purchase a jewellery polishing cloth and gently rub away tarnish from your pieces. (available in my shop).
- Alternatively, you can put a bit of warm water with dishwashing liquor and use a soft-bristled toothbrush to clean up your pieces.
